Meet and Greet
Thursday 9th October 2009, please come to our Meet & Greet drinks at the River Bar (Quayside, next to the Glassworks Gym) at 7pm to meet the team and club coaches.
Training with the British Army Boxing Team
The Blues Squad travelled to Aldershot to attend a training week with the Army Boxing Team. Here they were coached by former Commonwealth gold medallist and six times ABA champion Warrant Officer Chris Bessey MBE. What followed was not your average Cambridge student’s week!
CUABC .v. Portsmouth/Coventry Universities
CUABC have regained momentum in their quest for the Truelove Bowl with a gutsy performance over Portsmouth and Coventry Universities who, between them have five English Universities Champions over the nine weight categories and are widely considered to be the two best University teams in the country.
Taras Gout, Emmanuel, gave his usual display of heart and determination against P Kapnesi of Portsmouth. However, he was drawn into fighting on the inside to his detriment and was cleverly beaten by the Portsmouth man.
