CUABC .v. Metropolitan Police ABC
CUABC hosted the Metropolitan Police at Chilford Hall on Saturday, and whilst the result wasn’t in the Light Blues favour, the match was hotly contested.
Only two of the seven Light Blues had boxed before with five stepping into the ring for the very first time.
Two Silver medals from Cambridge Three
Last weekend saw the inaugral English Universities Championships in Sheffield.
‘First in was Artemm Korolov at 86kg who beat B.Simpson of UWE in his quarter-final easily on points. He then boxed T.Davis of Nottingham University in the Semi-final, again winning easily on points, although he did make hard work of it at times. He then met P.Baldwin of Leeds Met in the final, It was a very hard fought contest but I think fitness finally told and Artem lost a narrow decision on points.
CUABC ‘go the distance’ at Hawks’ ‘Megaformal’
CUABC had the second largest club presence at the Hawks’ Club ‘Megaformal’ on Sunday evening. This year’s members have bonded well and spirits are high at the club in what is proving to be very much a ‘work hard, play hard’ season.
Blues boxer bags Gold at Army event
Blues Squad boxer, Chandos Gore - Langton did Cambridge University Officer Training Corps proud at last weekend’s Cambrian Patrols competition, bringing home a Team Gold.
